Gamble Ave and House of Grechen Wrap ‘Letter of Intent’ with Maurice Dean Wint, Tony Nappo, Tameka Griffiths and Andre Kelly

Toronto’s indie film scene just got louder. Gamble Ave Filmworks and House of Grechen have officially wrapped principal photography on Letter of Intent, an atmospheric new drama starring Maurice Dean Wint (SurrealEstate, Last of Us, Diggstown), Tony Nappo (Ginny and Georgia, Saw II), Tameka Griffiths (Ginny and Georgia, Fingernails), and rising talent Andre Kelly (Cycles, Bake Sale) who also co-wrote the script.

Directed by Alex Eskandarkhah and written by Eskandarkhah and Kelly, Letter of Intent is a pressure-cooker of a film, intimate, razor-sharp, and emotionally charged. Set in and around the world of elite college athletics, it’s less about the game and more about the silence between the plays. Think long car rides, tense conversations, quiet betrayals. This is a film that lingers in the pauses.

An Indie Built for Impact

Shot entirely in Ontario with a strong crew and a focused cast, the project brings together two emerging powerhouses in the storytelling space. Gamble Ave Filmworks joins forces with House of Grechen again after the yet to premiere Cycles. These companies are together showing that they are here to deliver cutting edge storytelling.

What’s Next

With shooting complete, the team now turns to post-production with an eye on the 2026 festival circuit. There’s early buzz already, no surprise, given the pedigree of the cast and the strength of the script. Whether it’s a world premiere at a top-tier festival or a breakout moment for a new wave of Canadian creators, Letter of Intent is the kind of film that gets people talking.
